Over the years, I’ve been blessed with many lucky opportunities to help create the visual world of Rebecca Sugar’s “Steven Universe”. From art directing the show at Cartoon Network from 2014-2016, to art directing Steven Universe shorts like Dove Self-Esteem Project and Cartoon Network’s anti-racism campaigns, this is a selection of illustrations and concept art I made for the series. I also lead a team on developing the look for music album covers and concept art for the complete DVD collection.

The art style for the show was characterized by simple, clean lines, with a focus on expressive character designs inspired by classic cartoons and anime. The show also utilized a vibrant and magical color palette, adding to the overall whimsical and energetic feel.
