Background paintings for June: Life is Better When You Share the Ride. Set in Chicago, with lots of driving scenes, each of the backgrounds had to feel locationally accurate, which required lots of references. Perspective and color were priority for these backgrounds as Kevin Dart’s vision was to have a kaleidoscope motif throughout the background wherever a vanishing point was present. We accomplished this by using shapes and lines to direct the eye toward the center of the “kaleidoscope” in the shot.
